I thought Cricket was just like every other woman when I first met her, but she's not. She's not impressed by my fame and fortune. In fact, she doesn't seem like me at all. And that just makes me want her even more.
I've got to get my head back in the game, but it seems like the only thing I can focus on lately is her.

Not a bad little story. It was a quick read. I liked the heroine. It did take some time for the hero to grow on me, however. I did appreciate getting the chance to see him grow over the course of the novella. Things developed fairly quickly between Cricket and Magnus, but it didn't seem TOO rushed. They had great chemistry and super hot sexy times.My only complaint is that there were a few inconsistencies and grammatical errors that almost took me completely out of the story. This one would benefit greatly from a good once over by a copy editor. Still not a bad way to spend an hour and a half and 99¢ though.

If you love football like I do and if you love the Cowboys - you will totally enjoy this book. It is not that it focuses on all the football talk and plays but it is the little things of how playing various teams in your division makes you passionate. Love Cricket's character and how close she is to her family. I enjoy the journey Magnus and Cricket go on. Sometimes we don't know what road to travel but fate definitely pushes us in the right direction!!!!
This was a very good story. I didn't care what he did at that party and he started to slip down notches in my mind, but he makes it up. It's a lot better than other romance sports books thank god because I was about ready to give those up. Got sick of the man whore guys in those books which are all the same nowadays. At least this book is a huge step up. This book has romance, sex and some drama and a girl (h) who doesn't let someone walk all over her.
The characters are the stars in this football romance. It packs complex characters, steamy sex into a great story and it has zero tantrums from either of the main characters. It’s not NA that thrives on artificially-ginned up emotional stupidity. They have real feelings and when they hurt or love, you know it’s real and good.
Magnus and Cricket have real conversations. Magnus starts out cold, hedonistic and not willing to put his heart on the line. But the deep attraction isn’t one-sided or superficial. They get to know one another.
I like how Magnus isn’t portrayed as some thoughtless jerk—he has reasons for his attitude. It goes into why pro athletes like Magnus would act like he does—the attitude, withholding emotions, constant promotions and commercials. He’s shown as a real person who is more than a hard 8-pack—although that’s pretty nice on it’s own. I received an Advance Reader Copy.
I really enjoyed the book. Once I picked it up I couldn't put down. I loved the characters and story.

Great book
Story was good and well written. Characters could have used more development, and there were a few errors, so the editing was off. All in all it was a good read and I will read this author again.
